"Ashley at the Support the Mama Midwifery / Hill Country Birth & Wellness center has been amazing from the get go! We were pregnant with our first baby and had been seeing a doctor in Georgetown. With all the uncertainty with COVID and what to expect when delivering at the hospitals, my husband and I were really concerned. We looked around for alternative options and found Ashley was local. From the moment we met with her she had put our minds at ease, addressing all our concerns about home births and what to expect. She had explained things that my doctor hadn't even explained to us! At that moment I knew we had come to the right place. Not only did she fill us in on what we weren't being told, but she took us in even though I was already 9 months pregnant! Every visit with her was comforting and full of information. I ended up being a week and a half past my due date and found out my amniotic fluid was very low. Ashley had us start trying to induce labor at home with no progress after 2 days. She thought it best to go to the hospital to induce labor to prevent any possible emergencies. She was very understanding and caring about my feelings towards the hospital, but comforted and reassured us that this was the safest way. She met us at the hospital and helped us check in and answered all the questions the nurses, doctors, and we had. She made sure we were in good hands and offered to stay with us for awhile. Although she did not get to deliver our baby, she was there for us and supported us from the very beginning. Ashley genuinely cares about her families she works with and it shows! She has been absolutely amazing all around and we will be seeing her again with our next baby! We are beyond blessed and thankful that we found her!" -Jourdan C.
Why Choose A Midwife? The term midwife reflects a philosophy of care that is directed toward women and their individual reproductive needs. As your midwife, I offer a variety of options and seeks to eliminate or minimize unnecessary interventions. This philosophy is represented by the Midwives Model of Care. The Midwives Model of Care is based on the belief that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes. |
"Ashley was amazing! Throughout the entire experience, she was there. She helped keep me and my husband strong and she provided so much support from beginning to end. Without her, I don't think I could have had the natural birth that I wanted. She was always easy to reach via email, text, and/or phone call. She answered all of my questions and even provided support with things that she didn't have to help with, like all of my breastfeeding questions as a first time breastfeeding mom! I was really impressed with how much Ashley helped us. I would definitely recommend her to anyone! "-V. Love
